★ Connect Device

I can't detect the cast device:
1. Make sure your phone and cast device are connecting to the same Wi-Fi.
2. Make sure your VPN is off on your phone.
3. Try to reboot your router, cast device or phone.

Why does the app keep getting disconnected?
It may relates to the setting of your device, so please make sure you haven't set any battery optimization, which may prevent app from functioning properly, for example, turning off Wi-Fi when the phone is not in use. If so, please turn on the setting to maintain a wake lock.

I can't see anything on TV while the app performs well on my phone:
Please select the right input, if your TV supports multi- inputs: Chromecast, Xbox or Fire stick.


★ Select File

I can't find the file I want to cast:
XCast will scan the video, audio and picture automatically on your phone. Please check 'Directories' at the bottom of folders. If it still can not be found, let us know the file path and format of the file. We will optimize it.


★ Play

My video/audio/picture fails to play:
It may be that the format of the file is not supported by cast device.

My video always pauses, buffers or lags:
It may be that the bitrate of the video is too high for the cast device to keep up, and the poor network is also a cause. Please try to reboot your router, reopen XCast and cast again.

My video plays without sound:
It may be that the audio codec of your video is not supported by cast device.

My video plays sound but without picture:
It may be that the video codec of your of your video is not supported by cast device.

★ Web Cast

Why is there always a “No source found”?
1.Make sure the video or audio is playing in the browser.
2.Try to refresh the current page.
3.Some websites may have media protection, we can’t get resource from it directly. You can feedback to us and we will optimize it.

Why is it always playing ads?
Some web videos may contain advertisements, you can try to refresh the current page.

I can’t play the web video:
Please ensure the video plays correctly in the browser. Your device may not support the format of the video. You can try a different video source if available.

I can’t cast Flash:
Most devices don’t support Flash casting.


★ Others

Need more cast devices to be supported.
We support Chromecast, Fire TV/Fire Stick, Xbox one, DLNA TVs for now. We are working to support more cast devices like Apple TV, Roku, Kodi, etc. If you have any cast devices which need our support, feel free to let us know.

Need more sources to be supported.
We support video, audio and photo for now. We are working to support more sources like web video, Google Drive, Dropbox, Google Photos, local network, etc. If you have any sources which need our support, feel free to let us know.
